I've had Norton on my laptop for two years but this year the price has jumped $20 and I've decided not to renew. I'd like to download one of the free antivirus programs. My current plan with Norton expires on July 9th. My questions are these:
#1. Should I uninstall Norton before I download another anti virus?
# 2. I've read that Norton is notorious for leaving bits of their program behind. How can I get rid of all of it?
# 3. I have Windows 7 on my laptop. Is Microsoft Security Essentials a good program to use? Do I need something in addition to that?
Thanks in advance for anyone willing to answer my questions.
