My iPad (first generation) died - Square Trade???

My iPad which I purchased refurbished in January died. It will not come on, I cannot charge it nor restore it to iTunes. I filed my claim with Square Trade. I did put "yes" on question if it were dropped or something, but then in my narrative said that I had never seen anything happen to it, but I have grandsons and maybe something happened??? I answered yes as I do have the accidental protection and didn't want to mess something up incase something had happened that I didn't know about. My husband said since I never had seen anything happen to it, I should have answered "no". I don't know. I am so sad about it!

Anyway - has anyone else just had their iPad stop working completely???? I followed the support suggestions on Apple site, but nothing worked.

I hope Square Trade is as good as I have heard. This is the first time I have ever submitted a claim on anything like this so I am not really sure what to expect. It looked like they go to Apple since the iPad would be under warranty through them as well.

Any input on what to expect is appreciated. Depending upon how this works, I will add two TV's I just purchased to my Square Trade warranties too. I have my Kindle on their as well.
