Multi-function printer

I need to buy a multifunction printer that scans. I have not much room and need to keep the price under $500. Most in that price range have ADFs of 35 pages (and sometimes 50 pages). Since my scans are typically over 100+ I would prefer a larger ADF but with that comes a heft price tag I cannot afford and a HUGE printer I do not want. I can purchase a printer with a smaller ADF but need to be sure that after the first batch of papers goes through it does not create a file but asks if there are more pages so I can send another clump. I need my 100+ page scan to be one file not tiny PDFs. I also need at least 17PPM on my printer. Because of volume and ease I would like a laserjet. Any suggestions are welcomed and I TIA.
