The account was mine, but the internet account was the school's. A teacher who needed my files had access to all of my notes, which made me glad.
When you install Dropbox on your laptop, it will automatically upload everything from your iPad to the computer.
Still, all photos are stored also on the Dropbox Internet website.
Another tidbit or clue about what happened to me is that Dropbox saves older pictures in a minimized format. It also converted PDFs to another type of file during the summer to something that rendered the document unusable to me.
Call me confused! But I still use DB because it is simple and intuitive.

If it's your personal account, you should be able to access your photos. You don't need to actual computer to do this. Go to drop box and enter your user name and password.
