Last night, I was trying to access a website and typed it wrong. Hit enter and my Firewall popped up a huge message that I'd just been infected with a trojan. It told me to shut down, reboot and scan. I did a full scan with my antivirus. It found nothing.

Then I did a full scan from Malwarebytes overnight. It found nothing.

This morning I downloaded and ran Microsoft Safety Scanner (didn't it used to be called something else??). It ran over three hours and found the Trojan (trojandownloader:ASX/wimad.s) in 1 file and removed it. I was impressed. I'm going to run it again this afternoon to make sure it's really gone, but I usually have great luck with Malwarebytes but it didn't find it.

So.... it pays to run more than one scan.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?
