Microsoft OneNote & tablets-realistic expectations?

I just upgraded to Office 2012.

Love the idea of letting my recipes live "in the cloud" and looking at them on a tablet so I don't have to run back & forth between the computer or print them all out & keep them in a notebook in te kitchen.

Is ths a realistic excpectation from OneNote & a tablet? Thinking abut a Kindle Fire. Any other recs?
