My phone came with 8GB internal.

Instructions say I can add a card up to 32GB.

Any advice on what to look for?

I'm on the Best Buy web site, money is not the issue, of course I want a good price but what should I look for as far as specs?   There's nothing specific in my Tracfone instructions to indicate what to buy or what not to buy.

I just need more memory to support different Apps on my phone for news, weather, etc.  I don't play games or do music on my phone.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

You can find SD memory cards just about anywhere from drugstores to high tech electronic stores such as Bose.  I use memory cards in my devices and find that most are quite comparable in quality.  In other words I no longer feel driven by the price when buying one.  I've settled on SanDisk as my preferred brand, and usually buy them direct  from the SanDIsk website.  I've also purchased cards from Amazon.

I have a SanDisk 32 GB card in my LG Ultimate 2. You should be advised that many apps only install in the on-phone memory and not the card. That can be annoying. I don't know if they've improved on that with later versions of Android, but on my LG Ultimate 2, most of the apps still had to go on the phone. I  have tons of storage space but I still can't install all of the apps I want because many/most of them insist on installing on the phone memory rather than the memory card.

More memory for pictures, music, and whatnot. You can install some apps on the card also. I don't know if they've improved that since the LG Ultimate 2 version of the Android OS, but I was very annoyed to see how few extra apps I could add two plus years ago. I've got the LG Premiere phone coming Thursday with a later version of the Android OS so I'll see what happens then.

@software - I also installed Sandisk 32Gb micro cards in our two phones.  They have been a reliable brand over the years.

It's only good for extra storage.  You can't install apps on an external SD card.  As far as I know, this is true for all devices.  What you need to do is uninstall the apps you don't use or need.

I can't remember the price, but I buy these cards at Walmart where they sell cell phones, and I know I haven't paid anywhere near the price the OP mentioned.

I have no problem finding the card, I don't want to buy it and find out I can't use it.

I found some instructions that when the card is installed I may be able to move some of my Apps to the card, taking it out of internal storage.     Also, I may be able to uninstall an app, then reinstall with the card in, and hopefully the phone will ask if I want it installed on the card, I will say YES

I have very few apps, I need what I have, so deleting apps is not an option, which is why I am considering this purchase.
