Malwarebytes--is it better to run in safe mode or normal mode?

Just curious about which mode it's better to scan in with Malwarebytes (the free version). I tried to obtain the answer on the Internet, but I came upon opposing opinions as to which is better. One place even stated that Malwarebytes wasn't really designed to run in safe mode and, therefore, should only be used in normal mode unless, of course, you couldn't do so. I've scanned with it in both modes, but would really love to know which one allows it to do its job most effectively. Thanks ahead of time to all of you experts for your help.
