@pggoody wrote:Is the MacBook Pro that is a One Day Only today a good purchase. I have an iPad that is 5 years old so ready to upgrade. Saw this deal and wondering if it is most recent model? I don't have a home computer anymore I want something that will last . Like the easy pay.
The product the Q is selling is from 2012. This is a very old MacBook Pro 13.3 laptop.
Apple sells on their site a new MacBook Pro 13.3" laptop.
They also have available a MacBook Pro refurbished product from 2015.
This laptop has some nice technology and a good fair price. You should call Apple.

QVC is NOT an Apple Authorized Reseller. No TV Shopping Channel is listed as an authorized reseller. Check the Apple website for a list of authorized resellers. I have no idea where they are getting the product from.
When we buy a Mac product from the Apple website or from an authorized reseller, the warranty is registered as part of the sale. I cannot remember ever having to register the product ourselves.

They have to be getting them from Apple. Where else would they get them? If you buy directly from Apple, you don't need to register. If you buy from a reseller, you do. Geesh, have you never registered a product before? You sure don't act like it.

Where else would they get them? I don't have the foggiest idea. Maybe they buy them from Apple and then sell them at an inflated price to make a profit. Who know. And I don't really care.
As far as registering products, sure I have. But that's now what I was talking about and you know it. We've bought our Apple products either from the Apple Store on-line or from an Apple Retail Store, or from an Apple Authorized Reseller. I know that the ones we bought from the first two had warranty registrations as part of the sale. We bought our iPhone from the Verizon Store. I really don't remember if we had to register it or not.

Find "Reseller" Locations - Apple
You don't have to buy from Apple to buy Apple Care. Please stop spreading incorrect information. You must register your device with Apple and buy the extended warranty from them.
@glb613
I have never stated that in any of my postings. Nor am I spreading false information. Proof?????
For the record, you can purchase AC from many places for much cheaper than Apple.
