Is the MacBook Pro that is a One Day Only today a good purchase. I have an iPad that is 5 years old so ready to upgrade.  Saw this deal  and  wondering if it is most recent model?   I don't have a home computer anymore  I want something that will last . Like the easy pay.

No that is not the latest MBP.  Go to Apple's website to read about & see the newest MBPs.

The models that QVC sells are usually the oldest available ones.

Go to Apple's website and check the specs for the newest Macbook Pro.  Then compare it to the model QVC has for sale.  That is the only way to know if you are getting a good deal.  If the price difference is signigicant and you don't mind having an older model, go for it.  Not everyone needs the latest model to have a computer fit their needs.

Unlike others on this board, I'm not anti buying electronics from QVC as long as it's a good deal.  Believe it or not, you get the same manufacturer's warranty no matter which retail store it's purchased.  You can also buy Apple Care when you buy a new Apple computer from another retailer.

It doesn't do any good to tell people to not buy from QVC for the EZ pay option because it falls on deaf ears.  So, I no longer post it.  Would I buy from QVC, no.  But I've come to the conclusion, people want to and do purchse products here. Just make sure you aren't paying more than it's worth.

I agree with those who suggest going to the Apple website to compare their offerings to the QVC model.

We are a Mac family.  We purchase only from the Apple on-line retail store, or the Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Reseller.  We also purchase Apple Care with our products to make sure we have access to Apple Tech Support for 3 years.  We don't deal with "3rd Party" tech support companies.

QVC has to be an Apple Authorized Reseller or they couldn't sell Apple products.  Too many people post as if QVC is getting the computers from the black market.  As I posted, you get the same manufacture's warranty from all Apple's Authorized Resellers as you do when buying directly from Apple.  You must register your product after you receive it!

@glb613  QVC is NOT an Apple authorizied reseller.  They are just a "reseller."  For the record, QVC does not sell Apple's AppleCare which is a must have for that piece of mind.  If QVC was an Apple reseller, AC would be offered.  As it stands now, it never has been.

YUP!  You can register both over the phone instead of doing so on Apple's website.

Phone:  1-800-275-2273.  Ask to be transferred to CUSTOMER RELATIONS.

You don't have to buy from Apple to buy Apple Care.  Please stop spreading incorrect information.  You must register your device with Apple and buy the extended warranty from them.

I have an iMac, bought the 3 year Apple Care and the hinge broke 3 1/2 years later.  I aruged with Apple and they agreed to pay for the repair that WASN'T covered by my Apple Care.  I bought a Macbook Pro, didn't get Apple Care, I've had the computer for over 3 years and I've only had one problem I fixed myself.   Extended warranties are an expensive ****** shoot in my opinion.  Apple Care is the only one I've purchased in the last 30 years and when something went wrong, it had expired.
