The new Mac Operating System will be available for updating on September, 26th.
Be aware.

@Cats3000 I believe you mean........
MacOS Sonoma (aka Mac OS 14).
Thanks for the reminder! I did know about all the "betas." There is going to be a whole lot of new features.
As usual, I'll wait it out till 14.2 or .3. I like to let all the other jump on the bandwagon folks weed out all the initial bugs. ![]()

@Mz iMac Waiting with you. Call on me when you think it is good.
I updated my iPhone just before a trip and regret that but the new update seems to have corrected my issue. I should know better!

I installed MacOS Sonoma v. 14.0 the day after release.
I finally moved from my very, very, many-years-old workhorse desktop Mac to a 2023 Mac Mini M2 a couple of months ago -- our update experiences can vary depending upon the device we use, but it seems to be doing well across the board.
The update was smooth and easy, took probably 30 to 45 minutes.
No problems, and I'm taking time to "walk through" all the settings, features, options, etc., to see what's here.
I like it. I was already learning MacOS Ventura which was new to me with my new Mac Mini, so some of it is a slightly different world... but also I like the fact that so much of it mirrors what I'm familiar with on my iPad and iPhone, so the learning curve isn't that uncomfortable.
I hope it works well for everyone!
happy computing!😊

It seems every time there's a big update, some program I like to use is no longer useable.

Is this update for Macs with the new chip? Neither my iMac or Macbook have received a notice to update. Both are running Ventura 13.4.

@gadgetgal613, When you go into System Settings-->General-->Software Update, does it provide an update message?

Yes, it does. Usually when an update is available, I get the message from Apple. Thanks.
