Lexmark Z51 Printer Not Working With Vista

Hi...I'm trying to connect and older (but nice) printer to my computer which operates with Vista. My computer says that the printer is working fine but the pages come out blank. I just replaced the ink with new cartridges. It's connected to a USB2 port. I've tried downloading new drivers, but that still doesn't help. I give up! Any ideas? Thanks.
