When my year runs out I usually buy a new phone because it is just as cheap as just buying min. However, the phone I am using now has a 2 year warranty so I will probably go to tracfone's website and buy time when I need to.

Definitely, before I would add min to a 840G I would look at the deals you can get on an android phone - they have some new ones now or just get the LG android phone. They are so reasonably priced now. Are they an I phone - no - but they also don't cost what an i phone does and will let you see if you like the idea of having a true smart phone, and not have a contract.

Tracfone is not a high end smartphone. The best bet is to buy a new phone bundle. A card with 400 minutes cost $99.00 for 365 days.

Not everyone needs to or wants to pay for - an i phone or a high end samsung phone.

Good morning,

Again, thank you all for your input.... I don't need/want a smart phone, just need it mainly for calling and texting......

If I were to get a new phone how easy is it transferring all info/pics. etc. to the new phone ? I do not want to loose any pics...... Thank you

I don't think you can transfer the pics. Perhaps you could email them to your computer?

Use your backup. Don't have one? You need to find out how to synch with your computer or e-mail them to yourself. Never have only one copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

sassy lassy, go to tracfone.com, click where it says airtime at top of the page, a drop down box will appear, select 'pay as you go'. Buy your time that way, you dont have to go anywhere to buy a card to add time.

Yes it will show on your phone as triple minutes, your phone is programmed to triple your minutes automatically.

I too purchased the last TSV android and have over 1,000 in talk and 1,000 in data time left on it. My text is down to 127 so I am ordering the TSV with the newer phone as it isn't going to be that much over the 99.00 and I will have a newer phone. I sure wish Tracfone would come out with just a TEXT card. They have come out with a data one but a TEXT one would be great! Maybe they will in the future.
