Kindle question

My Mom's bday is this week and I was thinking of getting her a Kindle. She does read alot but Im just not sure if it would be too difficult for her. She is going to be 80. She is online, does email, pays bills.

I have never used a Kindle, so can all you users give me your opinion on how easy it is to use and should I buy for my 80 year old MOM???
