Kindle Fire HD and Overdrive Console

Thinking of purchasing the Kindle Fire HD and want to know if the Overdrive Media Console works with it.

I get all my books on my old Nook Color from my library and the process is very easy. So wondering if the same goes for the Kindle.

Any insight is appreciated.
