Just got Spectrum Xumo streaming

installed.  They sent new Modem and Router.

Set them up and lost all my Alexa devices!

Not sure if it's a Spectrum problem or Alexa problem.

Any advice?

It's your problem.  You need to reconnect Alexa to your new router.

Alexa has to be paired with your new equipment

Alexa is paired with the Router!

Alexa works, just won't connect to devices it commands!

@Zhills

It's easier to just change your router name to what your old router was named. If you don't want to do that follow the AI Instructions.

To get Alexa working on all your devices after installing a new Spectrum Xumo router and modem, open the Alexa app, navigate to "Devices," select your Alexa device, and then choose "Change" next to "Wi-Fi Network" to update it with your new network details; you may need to re-setup some devices depending on if the new network has a different SSID or password.

Key steps:
  • Open the Alexa app: Launch the Alexa app on your phone.

  • Go to Devices: Select the "Devices" tab within the app.

  • Choose your Alexa device: Select the specific Alexa device you want to update.

  • Change Wi-Fi Network: Select "Change" next to "Wi-Fi Network" and enter the new network details (SSID and password) from your Spectrum Xumo router.

Important points to consider:
  • Check network compatibility:
Ensure your new Spectrum Xumo network is compatible with your Alexa devices.

  • Restart devices:
After updating the Wi-Fi settings, consider restarting your Alexa device for the changes to take effect.

  • Re-setup if needed:
If your new network has a significantly different setup, you might need to fully re-setup your Alexa device by following the initial setup process in the app.

You have to re-pair EVERYTHING!!!!!  You have a new router number and password the the devices don't know what it is.

You can't pair it if you can't find it!  Alexa can't find them!

Re: Just got Spectrum Xumo streaming

@Zhills   Open your Alexa app & go do devices.  If your devices are not listed.......

Unplug your Echo device from the back of the Echo or directly from the wall for 5 minutes then replug it.

Move your device(s) close to your Echo device to pair them.

If the above does not work and/or any other advice you get from here, post on Amazon's Echo forums and/or call Amazon tech support.
