Is your laptop right on a surface or in a holder or sitting on something to make it eye level?  I have mine directly on the table and sometimes feel it needs up higher.

I have my laptop on my lap on a laptop desk.  I used to use it on my desk and had a metal laptop stand that worked well.  I ordered both of them from Amazon.

I use my MBP while in bed.  I have the plastic version in black.....

thank you! i dont often use mine on my lap but mostly on the kitchen table, all the stands  pictured look great and i plan to check them out!

I use a simpler metal cooling pad with my heavy  computer. 

I use this platform without the fan to just raise the laptop off my dining room table. The platform has holes like a cheese grader for air flow. 

Amazon has 70 pages of pads.

@CherryHugs   I got one for about $5 at Ikea if you have one near you.  It's very sturdy plastic and I've had it for years although I honestly use it just to store it when I am not using it.  I use mine just on a desk when I am.
