My boyfriend was given an ipod touch as a gift. It is not user friendly at all. All he really wants is to rip his CD's to it. Everything has to go through Itunes. The Itune set up is easy enough and I can download CDs but the basic set up for this thing is ridiculous so the music cannot be synced to it!!! The online help for setup is not helpful either. We thought the menu apps would come up upon charging but it wants a complete setup for Wi Fi. Why is this needed just to put music on the darned thing and maybe some photos? Can this be skipped somehow? We do have a wireless connection for our laptop for our home only but if we choose this it wants a password. We buy a wireless card for when we travel or are at our vacation cottage and that we have a password for but do not pay when we don't need it. I can call customer service but I'll probably just get some techie person who does not understand that everyone is not tech savy and be even more confused and frustrated. This is prabably great for anyone wanting to check emails, do facebook updates and other things WiFi is needed for - but not for someone who will never use these features. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
