Ipad won't turn on:(

Out of the blue, my Ipad won't turn on. It was ok last night when I plugged it in to the charger.

The electricity flashed off for a half second two different times last evening. Could that have done something to the Ipad?

I am going to be lost without it. I use it MUCH more that this laptop!
