Thanks everyone for your thoughts....I am using a mouse with the Ipad but it is a huge pain.  I will either replace it or get this one fixed.  I do like it and use is all day long, work and pleasure.

 

The problem is that if I get it fixed I have to leave it, it could be a week before I get it back.  I do have an extra Imac that I use at home when I need to work at home so I will need to take it to the office and connect it so that I can at least get my emails.

If you are still under warranty and/or have AppleCare, you may be entitled to a replacement iPad until your iPad is repaired.

Call Apple Customer Relations 1-800-275-2273 and ask firmly but nicely that you want to be transfered.  See what they can do for you.
