Ipad public library app.........

Do any of you wonderful, knowledgeable people know if there is a special app to download in order to download books from your public library? I am thinking I heard it may be called OVERDRIVE. If so, I probably still have to get on my library website to hook up something there??? Thanks so much. Hope LILLYSMOM got her beautiful new ipad!!!!!!!
