All of a sudden my iPad mini really slowed down and wonder why? I did go in and close all the open windows and that helped. The slowest is the Q, wonder if my dh has his hand in that one! LOL. Any ideas about how ti fix would be appreciated

Re: Ipad mini really slow, why?

I don't have an Ipad, but I'd shut it down and restart it. Also, check your internet speed to make sure it isn't the internet that is the problem.

Re: Ipad mini really slow, why?

I have the iPad Air and I've noticed that accessing these boards, from Safari, has been really slow the last few days. The speed is fine everywhere else. Maybe it's a problem on their end?

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Re: Ipad mini really slow, why?

I'm using an iPad mini now. I find that I need to clear the browsing history about ever 10 minutes to speed up the Internet surfing. Once I clean out the history, it goes really fast for a few minutes and then it slows down again.

Re: Ipad mini really slow, why?

I always suggest having an app, like Speedtest.net Mobile, to check your connection (download, upload, ping). You might be experiencing undesirable fluctuations and, if so, might want to talk with the provider.

However, if you're certain you've narrowed it down to only one website, QVC, that's most likely your answer: it's the website and not your device or your connection.

Re: Ipad mini really slow, why?

I've noted that it's especially slow on QVC's Community when I'm posting at the same time as someone else in the same thread. That doesn't happen when I use my laptop. I think there are some compatibility issues with this forum for iPad users. Not just slow response, but with copy/paste, emoticons, and layering post conversations. You'd think that a company that sells iPads would have a website that was user friendly for iPad users.

wildcat fan, I haven't used my iPad recently on this website so I'll have to try it and see if I notice any performance issues.

I agree completely, it's bizarre (and I would think it's an embarrassment to them) for QVC's site to have so many shortcomings and for it not to be completely compatible with all mobile devices, particularly the ones they sell. It's a puzzlement.Wink

Re: Ipad mini really slow, why?

FYI I'm also noticing slow activity with my iPad mini on Safari and especially QVC's website when my battery is low (10% or less). When I have a full battery (90% plus), web surfing is much faster.
