IPads and Amazon Prime

I have a Kindle Fire HD (7") and am interested in getting an Ipad (not mini. I wanted a larger screen but didn't want to buy another Kindle Fire HD). I have Amazon Prime. If I download the Kindle app, will I still be able to use my Amazon Prime when ordering products/books? Could I also watch the movies (the ones that are free with Amazon Prime?)~~Thanks.
