IPad memory question...

No, I'm not buying the TSV. I know it's the outdated version. I do want to buy my daughter the newer IPad for her birthday though. What would you recommend for memory? I know my daughter loves apps so I was thinking of going with the 32GB. Any comments or suggestions please? Thank you.
