IPad Air2 IOS 9.3 Update Battery Usage...

[ Edited ]

I upgraded to 9.3 2 days ago and my battery has dropped drastically each day.  I've had to charge it now 2 nights in a row.  First time it dropped to 16% and 2nd time it was less. I usually have well over 50% left in the evening.

My usage is about the same...I've never actually calculated the amount of time I use different apps. I see with this upgrade we can now see our usage of individual apps.

I checked online today and this seems to be a problem with all of the "9" updates.  I made the recommended changes and it seems to be a little better today.  I still have 40% left.  I probably will be using it for a while yet tonight.  So I'll know better how big of an impact these changes made.

Anyone else have 9.3?  Have u noticed a change?

TIA

Just because someone has a problem doesn't mean you will.  If you do, there is always the option to reset your iPad.  In fact, if there are performance problems resetting can often solve everything.

Before you start, perform a back up to your computer or iCloud.  If you backup to your computer, you need iTunes installed. If you have a lot of photos on your device, be sure to save them either in the cloud or on your computer.

Once that is done, get into settings, general then select reset.  You'll have several options from which to choose.  I would select erase all content and let it purge the data.  Reconnect your device to your computer and select restore from backup.  Another option is to restore just the apps you want.  You can find your purchase history at the app store or iTunes.

Sometimes when you upgrade, some of the settings change.  Make sure your Bluetooth is turned off if you don't need it.  That can drain the battery quickly.

No battery issues but it fouled up my favorite game Angry Birds 2. It won't load. Looks like it's going to then reverts back to the home page. But Rovio is aware and working on it. I'm lost without it when having my morning  and afternoon coffee.

@AZ Jan... I let the update happen on the iPad Air2. No problems, but I leave mine plugged in all the time while using it.

Angry Birds is messed up and shuts down after it tries to open but it is their site problem not Apples problem. I didn't update to the newest Apple 9.3 as I saw problems so I decided to wait. I am at level 230 on the Angry Birds 2 so they better get it up and

running. Smiley Happy It actually helps with thinking and helping with memory. Heh! That's what I tell everyone. Smiley Happy I don't play any games on my iPads but this and Angry Bird Rio. I think I won't update them anymore as they crash or make you buy things in the newer versions.
