Warning - I'm not high tech so I may use the wrong nomenclature. Please bare with me.
On my first iPad (iPad Air First Generation), we discovered that the email would not sync with my Outlook on my desktop, the way it does with an iPhone. I could delete something on my desktop but it would not delete on the iPad, and vice versa. I found that to be a significant inconvenience. My question is why? As smart as all their engineers are, why did no one think of this and create a system to work effectively? I learned to live with it but didn't like it.
In December, I replaced my iPad Air with a new IPad 10th Generation, and it's no different. All these years and it's still not addressed?
Or, is there a trick that I don't know about?
Any ideas?

@JeanLouiseFinch Maybe @dooBdoo knows. She's our Apple expert although she doesn't seem to come here every day. We'll see if she responds.
Can you call tech support at Apple?

Yes, we could, but it seems to be a thing when we've accessed various message boards.

@JeanLouiseFinch I have IPad 2017 as well as the 10th generation iPad & my email is synced between the two. You need to check your settings to make sure sharing between devices is turned on.
ETA:I also have the devices synced to my iPhone 11.

Mine are synced - I have an iPhone 14 and an iPad 9th gen.

All 3 of my Apple devices sync my Outlook email. Check your settings on the device that is not syncing.

In case you haven't added your outlook email address to your iPad or iPhone, it should look like this. Outlook is my work email which I blanked out, but you can see it in there with my yahoo and iCloud. They all have to be there along with iCloud to sync between devices. Here's a pic

"we discovered that the email would not sync with my Outlook on my desktop,"
Is your desktop a Mac? Either way, you need to check your "desktop" syncing settings to "allow syncing."
"seems to be a thing when we've accessed various message boards.
With no troubleshooting solutions?
Did you post on Apple Discussion board?
Check Apple's YouTube tutorials?
Call Apple tech support (especially if still under waranty).

Thank you, @Tori3569 I see the page that looks like this. Your comment about The Cloud makes sense. I'm going to let my husband check it out so I don't mess anything up. If worse comes to worse, we'll take a drive to the Xfinity store.
Technology can be challenging for me sometimes.

@JeanLouiseFinch I hope you got it to work correctly 🙂
