I had a kindle for a while, it has stopped working, I use my phone alot and my laptop at work and I also have a laptop & desktop at home BUT I will be going on vacation in Oct. and I really don't want to eat up my Data on my phone using that all the time, a tablet would be great.
Really don't want to spend a whole lot, I would be happy to keep it UNDER 160.00 (100 would be even better)
I don't need top of the line, I'm not on it that much for that, just would love some suggestions from those that have one and like or dislike it.
Thank you!

I think the investment you make on a tablet should be based a lot on what you want to use it for.
If you just want to read books, check email and play a few games, then most tablets would be okay. If you get quad processors, everything will run faster so that is nice. If you plan on storing a lot of books, games, pictures, songs, etc., then you need to look for one with a lot of memory or at least a way to expand memory. Obviously you can avoid this need by backing everything up to an alternative storage system.
A lot of folks love their iPADs but I just couldn't afford one so I bought a Galaxy that was on sale on black Friday last year. It does everything I need it to do and I love it.
I do think I probably could have gotten by with a less expensive version. The real downside is that there aren't very many accessories for any tablets but iPADs. I'm not much of a techie so I hope some other folks will chime in!

Yesterday's TSV was a tablet and I ordered one for the same reason you want one. It is still available and very inexpensive--Item E227940. Read the reviews and see if it's something you might like.
My only concern is the brand name is unknown (to me) but I'll give it a try. It would be good on planes to watch a movie or otherwise entertain my husband who is like a baby and needs to be constantly entertained. We don't want to drag out the laptop for that. HTH

I saw that was a TSV, I missed it, didn't even look at the Q yesterday. I noticed they have a few that comes with a keyboard, i have to admit, that would be nice while on vacation to type messages ![]()
On vacation we would use it to check out local places, reviews, check email, check home security cameras, check facebook, maybe even take/email some photo's. I am NOT a game player so I dont' use it for game, no time for them...

I also have a Samsung - Galaxy tab. I use it for business and leisure. It's above your price point though. I adore watching Netflix movies on it in bed. It's my guilty pleasure.

I may be open to spending more if its a good one that I won't have issues with. I have a Samsung S5 phone and I do enjoy that. Watching Netflix may be fun to do while laying in bed!! i like that idea

Yes m'am, it's wonderful. I use my home's WiFi and it streams the movies beautifully. I also Skype with some family and that's always fun (well, when I don't mind being seen! )

Here is another Samsung tablet. http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/SM-T700NZWAXAR
I have a tablet in this series. I like it because of the resolution of the display. It has a fingerprint lock, and a camera with a flash. You can store your photos at Google photo free with a Gmail account.
You should go to a big box store and compare the devices. You can find cases at Amazon.

I bought the trio tablet that is available here on QVC for around $120. What I liked was , of course, the price was good and that it has 4G capability which means I can use it while we are travelling - no WIFI connection needed.
