where on the remote control do you change the HDMI format?  I turned on my TV this morning and there is no picture.  Up in the left hand corner it says HDMI 4 and I think I want HDMI 1.  Can anyone help me out with this?

Re: I know this is dumb, but

With my setup, I push the INPUT button on the remote.   Then I choose DVD or cable, etc.  Or, maybe you need to go the cable provider  MENU and set Output Format.  I hope one of those gives you a useful hint.

Re: I know this is dumb, but

I use my cable box remote to navigate on a normal basis however when that has happened to me, and i don't remember how or why it did, anyway I remember I had to use the remote that came with the tv to power on the tv, press input then navigate the buttons to the correct HDMI.

The TV remote should have either an input or source button to change to the different HDMI connections.

Re: I know this is dumb, but

Thanks everyone.  I am back in business.  I ended up calling Comcast.  I had to use my TV remote, unplug the HDMI cord from the back and plug it back in.  They sent through a reboot signal.

Frankly, we have had so much trouble with our cable service.  Everytime there is some sort of upgrade, it really is a downgrade in quality of service.  At least the agents are nice.  I have had to call so many times in the last month!

Thanks again for all the help!

So happy you solved your problem.  We had constant difficulty with our cable company also, and finally went to DirecTV.  No problems in the years we've had them, and their customer service is amaing.
