1. I have Windows 8.1 and IE 11. IE 11 is set to be my default browser. I just downloaded Google Chrome and want it to be my Default browser. Where do I go to remove IE as my Default browser so I can then check Google Chrome to be the Default browser?

2. What settings do I need to check in Google Chrome to get started so I don't mess anything up. I'm new to Google Chrome and Windows 8.1.

3. Does Google Chrome have a tool bar? Yahoo has been my homepage for years and my mail is there. When I click on Google Chrome Yahoo comes right up. I would prefer to keep it that way and have it set for my homepage.

Any help in this will be greatly appreciated! Thanking you in advance so much for your help.

One step at a time, lol!

Google Chrome does have a tool bar at the very top of the page. Click on Chrome and then on Preferences. Once that page opens you have the choice to set Google Chrome as your Default Browser.

If you don't see Chrome in the top left corner of your browser then look all the way to the right for 3 horizontal lines and click on them; this will take you to settings where you may also set Chrome as your default browser.

How can I uncheck Default Browser"" from Internet Explorer? I can't have 2 Default browsers. I tried this and what a mistake that was. Tech support isn't fun these days.

I think you can go into your control panel to set defaults. I have a Mac, but had a PC for years. Check your control panel and let me know what you see.

If you check make Google Chrome My Default Browser, that should override the IE command.

When you were downloading Chrome, it should have asked you if you wanted it to be your default.

If you can't do that, you could always uninstall Chrome and then re-download it, making sure to say yes when it asks to be your default browser.
