I ordered the Canon t3i camera just before Christmas for my daughter's and son in law's present. They are busy learning the new features.
I have a Canon and love it, so I thought the presentation was great and it was a great value. Today I received an email from the Q that the bigger lens in the package does NOT have image stabilization.
In the presentation it was said that both lenses had it, but that was incorrect.
The email gives two options for us. We can keep the camera with the assurance that the pricing is correct for what we received. Or we can send the whole thing back and get a refund for the entire thing, including any shipping or handling.
My question is this: how important is it to have the image stabilization on the bigger lens? I really hate to send it back because I know I cannot replace the camera for the price I paid, but if image stabilization is vital perhaps I should? Please, I know there are several camera experts on here...could you advise?
Perhaps I should add that most of their photos/videos will be of their children in activities such as dance and softball, school functions, and family vacations and trips.
