Fifth one over of the icons allows for "insert an image." It asks lots of questions. My images (pictures) are on my computer. I don't see a search option. What am I missing.
I wanted to show a picture of deer in my backyard near the bird feeder.
I am not interested in social media I use want to use my camera and the files I save on my computer.

PC or Mac?

Just practicing here to see if it will work. I just did a right click "copy" and right click "paste" on this picture.
OK. . .looks like this is not the way to do it! It works when I use an internet photo, but not with a photo that's on my hard drive.

If you're just inserting a photo from the internet, copy & paste works. But if you want to insert your own photo you have to save it in photobucket, flickr, etc. or Facebook, & only then can you copy & paste it. A drag!

PC. I read the information that comes with the insert icon. Did not make any sense. I guess they don't make it easy. I thought it would be a search function that would lead me to my own computer stash. Obviously not. Oh well. Thanks. Gotta do it the long way I guess. I don't think I ever used any of the online services except facebook and I don't want to mix it all up. I don't really like Facebook and don't want to share with the entire world.

You can sign up for a free account at Photobucket. Just make sure to use your posting ID, and not your real name. That's what I use for my fashion resolutions thread. Then you can upload to Photobucket, open image in a new window, and copy/paste.

Did you get it done? I am assuming you want to take a picture you have on your PC and put insert it into a file such as this one I am typing. Sometimes it depends on which browser you are using and other times you have to do it a different way.
Using Firefox Version 28.0 here I was able to grab this picture off of my desktop. It worked with the old "left click on the picture and drag it into this file.
