@Big Sister, Please look at @Bird mama's link. This is really all you need to do. Remember, normal cookies are associated with your browser. (Browsers are the software which allows you to access and use the internet, the most popular ones being Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, and the newer Microsoft Edge.)
It's wise to delete cookies/cache/website data, close the browser and then relaunch it on a regular basis -- you'll find that it clears up a myriad of problems. (Regarding CCleaner for any Apple devices, I would discourage its use. It's not needed and has been known to remove important files causing major problems -- please, if you decide to use it on Apple mobile devices or computers, be sure you have a recent, reliable backup in case you encounter problems.)
I hope that helps!
@dooBdoo@Bird mama Thank you for trying to help me. But I tried and was not able to do it. I'll have to wait for my friend to come over and walk me through it. In the meantime I will continue to get to blogs and forums by clicking on my BOOKMARKS for the page I want. Thanks again, I reallly appreciate you. I wished you lived next door. lol
Sure you can. You need to open Internet Explorer, look at the menu bar at the top of the screen it has (file, edit, view, favorites, tools, help in a line) and click on tools. Point to Safety, and then select Delete browsing history.
Choose the types of data or files you want to remove from your PC, and then select Delete.

I use Firefox, so what are instructions for that browser? I am leaving for the day, so will look for your reply late today. Thank you.

Click on history found in the menu at the top of the screen and select clear recent history. Another menu will appear and you get to select what you want cleared. I have a check mark in all boxes except site preference. Once you select what you want to clear, select clear now.

@glb613, @Bird mama, @dooBdoo, and all who helped me with this "problem." Thank you, thank you. It looks like I did it and can get through to the forum and blogs without going through the back door. It seems to be fine now.
I went to History, click
Clear recent history
Chose "today" to be cleared
Chose "clear now."
What can I say, you're all so kind and helpful.

Go back and where it says time range to clear then today, click on the double arrows at the right side and select everything.
