How can i change brightness contrast on my screen?

I have noticed lately that I seem to be sensitive to the brightness back ground on my monitor screen..

Have done some searches, also trying to do it myself? Cannot.

Please anyone that has experience with this issue help?

Thanks,lovestodance

Re: How can i change brightness contrast on my screen?

Is this a freestanding monitor or a laptop? They're all different.

If it's a freestanding monitor, look for a button to press, maybe labeled menu or select. Look for the sun icon (brightness) or the circle with a white side and a black side (contrast) and adjust those settings.

You can also try looking for a user manuel online. Find the brand and model number into google with the term manuel and search for a user manuel that will explain it. For my model, I entered: nec accusync lcd72vx manual. That's also how I got the user manuel for the office copier.

Look for dials on the side or bottom of the monitor. If it's a notebook computer, the F keys will change the brightness.

Re: How can i change brightness contrast on my screen?

Some standing monitors have ""touch buttons/keys"" on the panels. Some on the bottom and some on the sides. I have a solid black panel around my monitor and these keys/buttons are not easy to see at certain angles.

Mine does not have a button for each adjustment. It has 3 buttons-one is the Off-On/another is for a menu(for lack of a better term from me)and a ""select button"". You push the menu button on mine and each time you push it a different setting comes up. When you find the ""brightness"" I hit the select button. That takes me to the brightness control which is controlled by the arrow keys of my keyboard for up/down/left right.

As someone else suggested. Go a google search for your brand and model and you can probably find a .pdf file of the owners manual to download. Most of them I've seen have easy instructions to follow. I've done this with several mechanical and/or electronic devices I've purchased that no longer come with an Owners Manual.
