How To Find A Long Lost Relative

My mother has a cousin that she has lost contact with and would like to reconnect with her. I know where she lives and have tried getting her phone number using different websites. I have found her but every website wants money to send you a report. I'm not that keen on giving out credit card info to a website I don't know much about. Is there any place I can look where you can get info on a person for free? Any feedback would be welcomed.TIA

I tried the white pages but it directs me to a website that makes you pay for a report.

Just click on the button for address or phone, not VIEW FULL PROFILE.

Re: How To Find A Long Lost Relative

A few years ago, I went to ancestry.com and found a long, lost uncle who had moved to Canada. His phone number was among the various items they listed. It might be worth a try - they have a free trial membership or maybe you have a friend or relative who is already a member?

With the popularity of social media, did you try Facebook & Twitter? Also Google her name..might pop up. It's free & available for anyone.

If you have found her and know where she lives, send her an old fashioned letter and give her your phone number and ask her to call you.

Re: How To Find A Long Lost Relative

Considering that she is a cousin of your Mother, I would suspect that she's not on Facebook. A lot of older people, including me, don't do these SM thingies. We don't want our information out there for the world to see and use against us! We've been strongly advised against it!

I'd try the old fashioned snail mail and I'll bet you'll saves yourself some time and money in the process. I wouldn't give out my credit card info to a website like that either. It will only take a a few days, and if you include your phone number, you might get a call in less than a week.

Good luck!
