Hooking up Wifi at Home

I am on the internet with an Arris Router; however, I need to connect the Wifi in order for the VPN package I purchased to work. Could one of you techies give me simple instructions to fix it please? Thanks in advance.

When I bought my router it came with instructions on a CD that showed how to connect it to my cable modem. It was very helpful. Did you get one with your package?

I just did that last night with Cox Cable. Super easy to do with their directions. You would need specific instructions for the system you have. Do you still have the info that came with the router? If you have a router, aren't you already using wi fi? Did you mean that you are online with a modem?

Hi there,

Yes I have been online with the regular cable for about a year; I unplugged it and connected the ethernet cable and I am still online so I have wifi, but I was trying to get a VPN connected...virtual private network from a company in Switzerland; could not complete it bc of getting an error message. They are writing software so it'll be a one-button connection; will take about two weeks. Was just hoping to connect manually now.
