I've been using my home pc to scan photos for a long time with great results.(free) My sister uses a photo lab and puts them on a CD, which costs about $30 per unit.
We were going to try and build a gift book full of old photos for a family function and she insists that we use her method. She thinks scans at home are not as good.
These are photos from the 50's and 60's so how good are they anyway?
Does using a photo lab really matter? I say no.
