I agree. I've been dealing with this issue for a couple of weeks. Mine is older and I can't find the single colors in the store. Mine needed a yellow and a blue. All the other cartridges are new. I only wanted to print in B/W. The printer won't go without the Y/B.
I ordered them on line from Epson and waited over 2 weeks and still hadn't received them. Yesterday I gave up and went to Office Max and bought the whole set just because I needed to print. The set cost $80. Holy cow! Last year they were $65. I can't afford the ink anymore.

@Scooby Doo When I purchsed the HP I specifically asked the question, will this print black ink only...not using the color cartridge....Yes he said. Not true.
Right now, the printer indicates I have plenty of ink, but nothing will print. I have cleaned the heads on both the printer and the ends of the cartridiges, done everything possible to get the thing to print..the printer 'works' but the pages are blank. it's so irritating.

Is anyone using a inkjet printer that they really like how it prints in color?
I like to print a variety of different projects mostly using color ink, any suggestions would be helpful.
thanks
My Canon does the same thing. So, it's not an Epson problem.

I gave up on HP printers long ago..
I love Canon printers..It is so hard to find them..Everything is sold out for the most part everywhere( In retail stores, office stores).I won't buy on Amazon or Ebay.
I called Canon they said their stuff is stuck off the coast of California!
The woman said "don't count on getting one for Christmas".
Canon also has USA based tech support.

Nothing political about my choices..
I just prefer purchasing my items where I can easily return them if need be at a local store.
Being a business owner for many years..
I prefer person to person contact... whether it's a purchase or return
