Help with iPad and iPhone

hi,  I have been having a problem with watching any kind of video on my iPad and iPhone for a couple of days now.  I never had this problem before.  DH has been trying to watch weather update videos through our news channel app and we can't watch any videos on YouTube .  We can't watch any sports videos.  I went to settings and then safari and cleared cookies.  It didn't help.  Can anyone suggest anything else to try?  Thanks so much.

Have you tried turning your devices off and then back on?  Sometimes that seems to solve some problems for me.

Yes, I did restart both of my devices by holding down the home button and the off button at the same time until the apple came on again. It didn't help. Thanks for replying. I can always ask my brother tomorrow but he's traveling on the road. I'll accept more suggestions!!

Ugh!!! I decided to try to watch a video again on my phone. It worked!--so did the iPad!! I don't know why it took so long to work after the hard shut off. DH is happy-so I am. Thanks its magic --have a good night
