I've been reading about these things for days and it's so confusing I'm about to give up. Originally I was going to get him one on Amazon b/c they are so much less than here. but I'm so confused about the features I think it's better to get it here and be sure we can return it if it's either not what he wants, turns out to be piece of junk, or turns out he has to pay for things like traffic updates (they don't make that too obvious, do they??)

I am vascillating b/w the TomTom Via or Go series and the Garmins. Any thoughts? And thanks in advance!
