My iMac imports my emails from Yahoo and from Gmail. Haven't had a problem for eons then on April 8th something happened. I have the Yield triangle with an exclamation point in it saying Account Error. When I click on it, it says Unable to Connect.
No idea why this is - I've deleted the email account and then re-added it to no avail.
I'm unable to find anything recent online - totally at my wits end.
Anyone have any idea what I could/should be doing???
Thank you in advance!!!
~Diane

Try going to the apple website. You can get help online from one of their very courteous customer service people. I have used them a few times.

Just adding my two cents.... This may have nothing to do with your problem, but be careful with Yahoo. Everyone I know that had a Yahoo email account got hacked. I know, because I got a lot of screwy emails that looked like they were from them....but they weren't. When Yahoo gets hacked, the hackers get all of your contacts' information.
For important things, I use my Comcast account, and it comes in through Outlook for Mac. For "other stuff" I use Hotmail and Gmail.

I use Comcast as my primary mail account, and Yahoo mail as just a junk mail account. I use a Google account for things connected to a smartphone, photos , calendar, etc.

Luckily I have had no issues with my Yahoo account. I use my Gmail account as a throwaway email address but some things are needed - like my ebay emails.
Be careful using Comcast (or other such service). When we moved here we tried getting Comcast again but they wanted to charge us a $300 service charge to move service. Why? DH used them up in South Jersey for almost 24 yrs but they wanted an extra charge to continue using them in Florida?? No freaking way. We went with another cable provider and then everything that had been set up with my Comcast email had to be chaged to another. Hence the Yahoo account. No matter where we move or which cable provider we have I can use my Yahoo email.
Just saying.
But I will go to the Apple site and try for Customer Service. This is frustrating me!!
Thanks all!
