All of a sudden yesterday the color changed from white to greenish blue..It is that color everywhere i go on the internet and it makes it harder to read stuff..Some areas ARE white,like in the forums i have white and green boxes..I have no clue how to change it back..I went to control panel and then appearances and personalization but that is just for desk top it did nothing for this.I also went to options and content to change color but again nothing..Anyone out there no what to do?

Well I ended up taking it in because the tech guy could not figure it out either and thought It might be a virus..cheapest thing for me to do was have them restore it back to when it was new.then redo all updates.

Let me know what he had to do to correct this. I just saw this so it was too late to suggest anything to you. Always nice to know what needed to be done with a problem that way everyone that reads it can pass it on to others that might have the same issue.

This may sound way out there, but check all of your plug-ins, extension cords, and wiring connections. Long ago when I was running a computer department with many computers attached to the network servers, one of the computers lost its color in much the same way as you describe. It turned out that the cord at the back of her computer was half hanging out. It was connected just enough to keep the computer on, but not enough to give her full power. Once we secured that, her color came back just fine. Such a simple thing and we had wasted so much time at the keyboard trying to figure it out!

Hi John and Ford!

Well they did not fix it..Took it to Office Depot and the guy thought i had a virus so we decided to reset the laptop back to when it was new..I got a call today that the screen went back to be being bluish green again after they did that .. He thinks the monitor is going out so they refunded my money...Whats odd is all colors are true to color its just everywhere there would be white background its green but there is some white to..My desk top does not have this problem tho.The rotating pictures on there are all fine.....Another thing is on the forum here each thread is rotating green white green white which is odd to..It does not seem like its going out so hopefully it stays ok and i get a couple more yrs at least..Oh he said he researched it last night and could find nothing pertaining to this odd happening..Its just a tad harder to read because each letter in the green box has white going around it and for my eyes its just a little hard on them..

Also they kind messed up my laptop to..I am not computer savy so they were supposed to download all updates and they did not and now flash does not work right and i have some problems on firefox now..I had to download my Norton again and cant figure out how to get a toolbar for them...I need it so i can surf the web safely.sigh.Thank you Ford for the info but dont think that's it.If i ever find out what it is i will update..Take care!
