Re: Help Needed: Stuck in a Yahoo Email Security Loop

I tried calling for help, and even sent them a copy of my Driver Licence. However, they told me that they couldn't verify the account was mine so they told me to go the Help Center, and then hung up without telling me why they couldn't verify it was me.

@sammybs

Did you submit a Yahoo Account Recovery Form?

Re: Help Needed: Stuck in a Yahoo Email Security Loop

Thank you. I tried with the same results. The form still prompts you to verify your account identity, which I can't do since it requires me to access another account that is requiring verification from the first account. It's very frustratig. They don't provide me wiht the option of answering the security questions I provided them with when I opened the accounts. They want a code from another email account, or a code texted to a phone number, but they pretend that the security questions don't exist (which they do since I used them to access other yahoo email accounts).

There is also a browser reset you can do and it involves removing custom settings that you have done to your browser. Sometimes even after clearing history/cache there is a corrupt browser profile that can cause a login loop. A browser reset takes the browser back to default settings where you will have to start like you have new computer b/c it removes autofills, bookmarks, your choice of homepage and search engine...those sort of settings will need to be set again after a browser reset. You won't lose your files b/c those are separate from a browser.

You can also add another browser profile using your existing browser account and still access all accounts but just using a different profile, not a different account.
