I'm having trouble signing into my Yahoo Email accounts. It isn't a password problem. The passwords for each email account are correct but when I try to sign into Email Account 1, a Yahoo security message tells me that I need a code that will be sent to Email Account 2. However, when I try to sign into Email Account 2 to obtain the code to access Email Account 1, the Yahoo security message says I need a code from Email Account 1 in order to access Email Account 2.
In short, I'm stuck in a loop because i can't access Account 1 without having access to Account 2, and I can't access Account 2 without having access to Account 1.
Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@sammybs I don't know what type of device you are using...laptop? mobile phone? tablet?
Try giving it a good clean - clear out your cache would be my suggestion. Then shut the device down or at least restart it.
In most cases it helps.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'm using a MacBook Air, but when I couldn't sign in using that device, I tried to sign in through my work PC (which I've used in the past to access my email accounts), and got the same message. I cleared the caches on those devices, shut them down, and restarted them but I still get the messages that Account 1 needs a code from Account 2, and Account 2 needs a code from Account 1. I even reset my home internet in case it was a problem related to that, but the problem still remained.

@sammybs In addition to the excellent advise Susan Louise fonted.........

There should be an option to add your mobile phone number so they can send you a text with a code.

There's a thing called Account Recovery Form. Do a search to get more info about that.
Also try reinstalling the Yahoo mail app.

I've had yahoo email forever. I do have 2 different email addresses on the yahoo email. However long ago it was when I set up the recovery contacts, it would not take another yahoo email address. I had to put in my work email and my cell phone number to complete the set up.
I'm honestly surprised you were able to use another yahoo for the recovery email. Since a phone number was posted upthread I'd definitely call them for help.

I agree. I have my accounts, not Yahoo, set up for a text or e-mail message to be sent if verification is required. I almost always choose a text message.

Yeah, text messages solve a lot of these kinds of problems.
I was stuck in a loop like that with McAfee many years ago. Their security software prevented internet access until after I went online to verify my identity, which I couldn't do as their software was preventing me from going online. Tech support was no help.
"You have to go online to verify your identity." But your software won't let me go online! "That's because you haven't gone online to verify your identity. Once you do that, it'll let you go online." I just deleted the software and decided I'd never use McAfee again.

You have to be able to get into your account to add the phone number, and I can't get into the account.
I added my phone number to accounts that I could get in.
