My LG (L56VL) tracfone keeps telling me storage is full. I can't get or retrieve texts. I love this phone. I deleted all my photos trying to free space but still nothing. I bought a Samsung tracfone from HSN a few months ago...don't like it. Just wondering if I can do something to keep my LG. Any help would be appreciated.

if it has a spot for storage you can add a storage card to the phone. you can then move a lot of your photos and apps to the storage card to free up space on your actual phone.
i am not familiar with the type of phone you have, but that is what i did with my older samsung note 4 before i decided to finally upgrade.

Do you have a micro sd card in the slot? It says it will support up to 32gb.
I don't think changing the sim card has anything to do with that. Far as I know that has to do with who the phone connects to for service?

@MoJoV - The Tracfone website provides a lot of support under FAQs, and also tutorials for each phone they sell. You should check it out. The problem is not with your SIM card, but the internal storage.
Here's a link to their website on what to do, if your phone keeps running out of storage:

(Just to say, I have the LG Premier Pro with 16 Gb of storage. I inserted a micro-SD card to hold all my photos. And I delete any apps that I don't use, some of which came pre-installed.)

I bought an unlocked cell phone with Tracfone BYOP Sim kit since my LG Tracfone kept telling me there was no room. I deleted everything on my phone & it still said the same thing. I could not use the grocery apps.

@Nightowlz - I can only suggest that anyone with this issue look at the storage on the phone to see what is being used. Other than the Tracfone website's Help section, there's not much anyone can do without the actual phone in hand.
We've only had LG phones for years (I'm about to switch to the LG Premier Pro Plus) and only ever with Tracfone. I've had a couple of times, when it said space was getting limited, but I've always been able to just delete an app or something else that I didn't need and I've been fine.
However, as I said, I do have a micro-SD card installed and that holds all my photos, etc..

Did not have email on phone, deleted all pics, all apps it would let me delete, all texts. I was trying to use Wal-Mart grocery app & it still said not enough room.
I was having issues finding a deal that comes with phone, text, mins, data from Tracfone on the GSM network. Seems they are all for CDMA network which won't work where I live so I bought the unlocked cell which has more room so I won't have issues. Guess that's what I will have to keep doing until Tracfone comes out with some using GSM. I don't understand why they are doing that. I think it's been like that 3-4 yrs now.

I checked the specs for your LG phone. It only had 3.7 GB of usable storage. It is full and should be recycled.
I use a Samsung phone and or a tablet everyday.
If you have a question or concern, about your phone please ask. I don't have a TracFone.

@MoJoV - You might want to invest in a new phone. The deal I mentioned on another thread is still available on HSN - the LG Premier Pro Plus, for $79.99 (365 days of service, 1500 minute/text/data bundle), with free shipping. I don't know how much longer it will last.
This phone has 32 Gb of storage, which should be more than enough for you from what you've said.
If you go look at it, be sure to put in the item number 731-750. That's the only way you'll find the one with that price. (They have had this phone before under a different number and it's $119.99 - same phone!)

Have you tried backing p your phone and resetting it to factory specs? Cheaper than buying a new phone and you can keep the phone you like.
A friend of mine recently had the same problem and decided to get a new phone. Her old phone only had16GB of memory. Out of curiosity, I checked how much was stored on my 64 GB iPhone. I had 27GB used which would be bad if I only had a 32GB phone. I do have a lot of photos but, they only use 5GB. Depending on how you use your phone, 32 GB may not be enough.
