I bought one of these last year as a gift for my daughter.  She can't seem to get enough of chargers.

She actually used it to help 2 people charge their batteries and start their cars.

So one of our cars needed a charge as the battery died without warning.  It DID NOT work to charge it!  Car is a Dodge Journey, and it didn't work.

How frustrating!  I had given it a 5 star rating in the reviews!!

@hyacinth003, When that happened to mine, I contacted the company, sent my charger to them, and they replaced it.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Perhaps the car battery is old and won't take a charge.

@BeccaLou

It would do NOTHING for the battery.  It had just happened.

We had to call a tow truck that was able to charge it, then take it to the shop to replace the battery.

We have one in each of our vehicles.  We've had them for almost two years. I've used it twice on my car and it started it up immediately.  I do occasionally check the halo to make sure it doesn't need recharged.  Only had to plug it in once.  In October Q had them on sale for $99 and free shipping and I purchased two more for use in the house when the power goes down; just for a lamp and computer.

Car batteries are funny now.  In the old days say the 80s you generally had an idea when your car's battery was waning, now when they die, they die.

Maybe you needed to charge the Halo.  Portable chargers will drain over time.

@hyacinth003   LOL, I think I jinxed myself.   I went to go somewhere today and my car's battery is dead.  This is the second time in the past two weeks. So that tells me my battery needs replaced.

Monday I'll start it with the Halo and go get a new battery.
