Halo Scanner Mouse & Windows 8 Problem

Just received my Halo Scanner Mouse today. Really fast shipping. Installed the software included and now getting error message "Scanner mouse stopped working". I'm going to go to the Halo site and see if I can find a solution. There was no option to set the mouse to work with Windows 8. Just wanted to let folks know about this problem. Very frustrating. I'll make another post if I get this straightened out.
