HP screen issue

I bought my HP laptop from QVC a little over a year ago. I love and it's been working fine, but the past month I've been experiencing an issue. The screen will go completely white. I have to do a shut down and restart to get it going again. It will be fine for days and all of a sudden, it happens. Any suggestions.
