Have an old Compaq Presario tower. I had to change my monitor got the Acer.

My keyboard is the original Compaq. Have the Tower and keyboard for almost 8yrs.

Had it the pc fix a couple of times do to Viruses. It is running very slow,freezes up etc.

Was at Staples a few weeks ago after the Hurricane hit. My Backup surge bit the dust.

However did save my computer. Am a Senior,my DH does not use the Pc,and not able to help with this.

I spoke to a Tech guy,and mentioned having my Pc for 8yrs. He recommended me getting the new upgraded smaller tower. Since my monitor is about 4yrs old. He felt i should not get another one now.

My daughter loves Dell,however the man said HP would be a better choice.

Now i am wondering?? If i do decide on getting a new tower. How can i save what i have on my old one?

Think i would want to have in house service,which they can provide.

In fact one of the Techs live across the road from me.

Gave us his Cell # to call if we wanted to have any service.

I assume i would be saving some money doing it privately.

Would really appreciate any replies with any feedback on this issue.
