What type of screen is on the HP Laptop today's special. Can I read it while working outdoors? Also can it be used wireless?

All new notebook/laptop computers are wireless. Can it be seen outside, I doubt it.

I am curious if anyone has any comments on the HP special value (other network) today. I am so tempted. I was told the DVD drive was on the way out. I cannot believe this might be my last chance to get one. Also is it a good deal, does it have good specs.

Your question will be: What are you going to do with it.

1. email

2. store photography

3. online searching

4. getting into watching some movies and videos

Like to have good storage and speed. And hate buying yesterdays technology if I can help it.

The computer has sold out. You should go to HP and find an HP Envy. If you need help contact sales, tell them how you plan to use your laptop. They will suggest choices.

HP had some nice sales on Black Friday.

Bonnie - As to the DVD drive thing, even if computers are going out with a blu-ray instead of a DVD drive, you can still play/use your DVDs. blue-ray players are always back compatible to DVD.
