Have been using the Samsung A14 for a year with Tracfone coverage.

Yesterday, after making the Smart Switch transfer and getting help online from Tracfone, I started using my new Samsung A15 5G.

I deleted a bunch of apps I didn't want, mostly games, but they added TikTok, which I immediately uninstalled.  I hoped that would be the end of it.

For whatever reason, just about every time I switch to another app,   the Google Play Store "ad" comes up to Install TikTok.  I can't make it stop!

I have the AdBlocker program.  I checked Security under Settings.

I blocked notifications from FIVE Google programs to see if that would work.  Nothing happened.

"They" seem determined to make me download TikTok!

How do I get rid of a nuisance ad?    Delete and reinstall the Play Store?

Any suggestions?    TIA

Are you able to add it to your 'spam' list in your phone? I had to do that with a vendor. Is it coming via text? On most of them if you type "stop" in and send it that will often stop it.

It's the craziest thing .... I open my texts and instead of what I'd usually see ... a message or Contacts, it's a full screen Google Play ad for Tik Tok and a big button that says "Install".

I even tried temporarily disabling Google Play!  Still working on it.

This is a new one for me.

@Tinkrbl44  Try this.....

Optimize your phone & restart.

Re: HOW DO I MAKE AN AD STOP?

Just FYI, I made a list of the issues with my new phone and went over to see the Samsung rep who spends time every day at the local Best Buy.

He was able to correct 3 of my problems and gave me the phone number to call for the fourth.  It wasn't a Samsung issue.

What a relief!  Woman LOL

Whoops!  Sorry, lol.   Woman LOL

The Visual Voicemail never worked and I'd get prompts that it wasn't working properly.   He said Samsung doesn't have anything to do with that, call Tracfone.

I never missed VV, but now I'd like to have it, so that's next.
